Us: How is it being a coach?
Coach Afflito: It’s rewarding, and I enjoy working with student athletes and teaching them the game of basketball and helping them improve each day.
Us: What are your goals for the team?
Coach Afflito: Going to be an established culture,make sure we compete against each other, and make the Western Mass tournament and go to the states.
Us: How do you handle player conflicts?
Coach Afflito: Good communication between players and coaches is the best way to resolve any tough situations.
Us: How do you prepare the team for games?
Coach Afflito: Come to practice each day with a good practice plan and instilling confidence in the players to execute and have success in game opportunities.
Us: What are the expectations for player commitment, both on and off the court?
Coach Afflito: It starts in the class room and having good behavior in classroom and grades, and having good commitment and effort at practice each day and understanding the strategies that will help us have success in games.
Us: How is playing time determined?
Coach Afflito: By players’ commitment, they gotta show up every day and put in effort in practice and have a good attitude and overall understanding of what will help us win basketball games.
