
If you were looking for a Christmas movie to watch this year look no further. The 2000 movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a perfect choice. Its even famous for Jim Carrey’s amazing performance. When people watched the movie they were in awe. The makeup that Jim Carrey wore initially took up to 8.5 hours to apply but after many times of the lengthy process they were able to shorten it to about 2.5 hours (That’s some crazy dedication). He even had to do required CIA-trained torture endurance techniques that took hours each day.
For the whole movie to be made it took a total production timeline of about 24 months. Directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer. The company with the brilliant idea was Imagine Entertainment and Dr. Seuss Enterprises coming together to start the production With the movie only lasting 1 hour and 44 minutes. They really put some hard work into it.
With the genre ranging from Children’s film, Action, Comedy and many more it is appropriate for many age ranges. This is a great movie for the winter months especially in December around Christmas time. How the Grinch Stole Christmas was filmed mostly at Universal Studios in California, with the main Whoville set built on the backlot. The scene where the Grinch has a change of heart was shot at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon.
